Audi’s been doing that for as long as I can remember. There was a late 90s A4 ad that showed the driver adjusting his rearview and backing up, while his 3-series neighbor adjusts his rearview to check himself out, fix his hair, etc. He’s still staring in the mirror as Audi drives away.
